Helping you maintain your tenancy and live independently

Our Drug and Alcohol Housing Team provides specialist support for people who are affected by drug and/or alcohol use and need help to manage or maintain their housing.

The team works with people who already have accommodation, particularly where their tenancy may be at risk, with the aim of preventing homelessness and helping people build the skills and confidence to live independently.

How we can help

Our team provide personalised, one-to-one support tailored to each person’s individual needs. This may include:

  • Helping you maintain your tenancy and prevent homelessness.
  • Supporting you to engage with drug and alcohol treatment and recovery services.
  • Providing structured psychosocial interventions, including solution-focused approaches and motivational techniques.
  • Helping you develop independent living skills, such as:
    • budgeting and managing money
    • paying bills
    • managing benefits
    • food preparation
  • Working alongside housing providers and other health and social care services to ensure you receive joined-up support.

Working together

Our team works closely with housing services across Hampshire, as well as other partner organisations, to provide coordinated support that helps people improve both their housing stability and overall wellbeing.
